Oxford High School - Workshops for Years 3 & 4 and Years 5 & 6

Emma delivered and interactive and engaging workshop which focussed on acknowledging, understanding and managing feelings. The girls were encouraged to ‘dig deep’ and analyse what they are feeling and to respond in an appropriate manner. Emma’s insightful workshops were beautifully crafted and delivered with humour and authority. (PSHCE Coordinator, Oxford High Juniors)

Feedback - Streatham and Clapham high School September 2016

'Fantastic talk! Very useful and inspiring. Incorporating case study activities and action plans was helpful' - Teacher.
'Having Emma at our school was an excellent learning experience for teaching staff, assistants and senior leadership. Her knowledge is vast and she uses it with accuracy and humour to really illuminate some complex ideas. The resources used are up-to-date and encourage staff to reflect on their relationships with young people and to try new strategies. Interestingly, it was often tricky to stop the animated discussions which were provoked! Emma is a compelling speaker who effortlessly shares her experiences as a teacher, a scholar of psychology, and a human being. We warmly recommend her.' Gillian Cross, Deputy Head Pastoral

A sample from a whole staff training session at Notting Hill and Ealing High School

Lots of interesting information about the teenage brain, especially relating to sleep and extracurricular activities…
As a new member of staff I found this session incredibly reassuring and positive; we call got reassurance that we’re taking the right steps when dealing with situations involving confidentiality
A hugely useful session on this very important area – it impacts on our ability to teach students and their ability to be taught!
The content was great – even though I’ve had a lot of INSET on resilience I still learned new things.
I found the examples of how to approach conversations with girls really useful.
The session touched on many of the things I studied in my Art and Psychoanalysis MA so I’ve been inspired to revisit my notes!
Emma was a really engaging speaker – I was gripped!
The session as a whole was excellent and was underpinned by science and professional experience.

Following Pupil Workshop and Parent Talk at Putney high School

The girls came out saying it was the best talk they had ever had, and so many parents have emailed their appreciation of both talks to me today. I think the messages were very strong, defining resilience and about ‘work in progress’.

Following a parent talk at Sutton High

I received so many positive comments and thanks for your talk. Those who weren’t there are asking for a re-run next year! Thank you once again for your excellent presentation. It was very much appreciated.
